Our History
It all started at the age of nine when Co-Founder David De Paz began DJing at his father’s bar on the southside of San Antonio. There, David discovered his love for music and a passion for making people happy, which would eventually evolve into a lifelong dedication to creating memorable experiences.
After years of working in various music venues and alongside different companies, David and his long-time friend Luis recognized a unique opportunity in San Antonio and South Texas. They saw a need for an event production company that embraced innovation and focused on crafting immersive, dynamic sensory experiences. In 2014, David and Luis joined forces to create One Sound Productions, a company born from their shared vision to transform the event industry.
Our Philosophy
One Sound Productions is the result of two like-minded individuals who perfectly complement and balance each other. Luis and David share a vision of a society built on cooperation, community, and shared values—principles that guide everything they do.
As a family-owned business, we hold the concept of family close to our hearts. While Luis and David aren't related by blood, their bond is as strong as that of brothers. This deep connection influences not only how we approach our work but also how we treat our clients, colleagues, and partners. To us, family is about more than just biological ties—it's about those who share a common goal, vision, and a commitment to loyalty, respect, and love. We firmly believe that we are all in this together, united by one purpose. It’s this philosophy that drives us and is reflected in our name—One Sound Productions.
Luis Plascencia

Luis was born in Laredo, Texas, and relocated to San Antonio after high school to pursue his college education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The University of Texas at San Antonio and has over a decade of experience in design and audio/visual production. With a strong background in events and marketing, Luis brings a wealth of expertise to our family business and has played a pivotal role in shaping our vision and driving our inspiration.
David De Paz
Co-Founder/Operations Manager
David, a proud native of San Antonio, has spent most of his life in the city he loves. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Government from The University of Texas at Austin and brings over twenty years of experience in the music industry. David’s journey began early—at just nine years old, he started DJing alongside his brother at his father’s bar. This early introduction sparked a lifelong passion for music and a deep desire to bring joy to others.
